Previous to this, I stated that I wanted to find my style in this phase of my creativity that could be mines alone, something that no one had done before. With this piece, I re-wrote my future way of approaching my own art. This piece of art was a huge milestone for me as an Artist.
I didn't want too many laws present in my future works. I grew genuinely obsessed with Surrealism.
I wanted Balance and a sense of calmness is all of my future works. I wanted to go against the grain. I wanted to re-define the way in which Black & White had been used before, not to mention the way in which it had been thought of.
It's called "Moment Alone" because of the woman. She is in her own moment, . . . alone in calm contemplation, willing and ready for the future. She has been through a lot, but has stood her ground and is moving forward in strength. She stands on the summit, the winds of change strongly blowing her hair & scarf.
She will overcome.
